Meera

Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you! I’m Meera, a Speech and language therapist with over 10 years of experience working in both the UK and Kenya. I’d like to share a bit about my journey. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, my roots have always been a significant part of my identity. When I moved to the UK to study Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Sheffield, I was driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact—not just in my own life but in the lives of children and families seeking support with communication.

Since earning my degree in 2015, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with wonderful families, schools, and communities in both Kenya and the UK. Whether using specialised techniques such as Oro-facial Myology,Talk tools, PECS, Lidcombe, or delivering training as an Elkan-certified trainer to parents and teachers, my mission has always been to empower children to communicate confidently and to provide families with a supportive and natural path toward progress.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed how small, everyday adjustments can lead to remarkable outcomes. That’s why my approach is deeply family-centered. I enjoy working closely with parents to incorporate speech therapy exercises seamlessly into daily routines, making communication development an organic part of life. Offering bilingual services in English and Gujarati, fluency in Kiswahili, and a working knowledge of Hindi, I’m honored to support families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for helping others. Whether you’re a parent, a teacher, or someone seeking guidance, I look forward to walking this path with you and helping your child thrive.

Warmly

Meera
