Within one session Meera was able to gain the confidence of my shy ten year old daughter and had her participating in fun exercises to help her to improve her clarity of speech, her ability to formulate clear sentences, her mouth movements when pronouncing her words and her pitch and intonation. She looks forward to her sessions with Meera, and also to the activities she sets us to follow up and do at home. I was looking for a oral myofunctional therapist to help my child with nasal breathing. I found Meera through a Google search and from our initial meeting to now, her services have been exceptional. She is professional and knowledgeable, but the icing on the cake is her warmth with children. My daughter doesn’t warm up to people quickly but with Meera she built a rapport so quickly. Meera has been absolutely wonderful with my daughter. From the very first session, she created a calm, supportive environment that made my daughter feel at ease. Her kind and patient approach has really helped build my daughter’s confidence in her communication skills.What stands out most about Meera is how well she connects with children—she’s warm, attentive, and genuinely understands how to engage them in a way that feels fun and encouraging. Meera is currently working with my son who is almost 3 years of age. Meera would always provide us with a detailed report of areas he is doing well in and milestones that she would help him reach after each session and liaise with his nursery key worker to ensure that they follow the same guidance. Meera sees my son in nursery which is great because this setting is familiar to him and he is in an environment of learning so he is more receptive to the activities Meera has organised for him. When I have attended clinic sessions Meera has used a variety of toys and signing to engage him in learning through play and picks toys she knows will keep his attention for longer periods of time to help engage him in an activity to promote his speech and language. Since Meera has been working with my son I’ve seen a huge development in his speech and language and his ability to express himself, he can now say what he wants which in turn has helped us manage his behaviour better and also help to toilet train him. Early intervention has been key to my sons development in his speech because although he had a wide range of vocabulary there were many areas he was struggling in and this one to one tailored support has enabled him to develop leaps and bounds. Thank you Meera so much for all your hard work it doesn’t go unnoticed. I would definitely recommend Meera to family and friends she is amazing at her job and shows passion in her specialised field.

Meera has been really good with our 10 year old child who has both ASD & ADHD diagnoses . She made him feel really comfortable for the assessment and got so much helpful information out of him. Thanks to her school have been able to work on his social communication difficulties and her report has been invaluable in making his teachers and ELSA understand his challenges.We plan to use Meera’s report for tribunal in the autumn and are hopeful it will help our child gain the additional provision he needs in his EHCP.
